Hi guys!!! I recently learned about Translate.com and its online document translation capabilities. I have some questions about it. I'm going to translate a couple of educational materials and I'm a bit worried about the quality of the translation. How accurately does this service handle texts? Does anyone have any experience using it? I'm especially interested in how it handles formatting of documents, as this can be a problem in PDFs. I'd be happy to hear opinions!

Thanks for the detailed review, very helpful! I've been thinking about Translate.com too and now I realize that I need to be careful, especially with technical texts. It might be worth combining automatic translation with manual checking. If anyone else has experience, it would be great to hear additional opinions!
I have used Translate.com to translate various documents, and I can share my experience. The first thing to note is that online document translation services are a really convenient tool for quick translation. You upload a file, choose a language, and in a few minutes you already have a translation. But the quality is not so simple. If we talk about simple texts, for example, letters or general articles, the service copes quite well. However, as soon as it comes to more complex texts, especially those with technical or specialized terminology, problems arise. I was translating several scientific articles and noticed that some terms were not translated correctly. This can cause misunderstandings, especially if you expect accuracy. For example, one article dealt with complex concepts and I spent quite a bit of time correcting the errors. So, if you have documents that are important for your studies or work, I recommend that you make sure to check them manually after automatic translation. As for formatting, this is a separate topic. After translation, some elements, such as tables or graphs, may not look the way they were intended. Personally, I had to manually correct the layout in Word because PDF documents often have a complex structure. Sometimes even elements could fly out of the document or change their sizes. So if you plan to translate PDFs, be prepared that you will probably have to edit the text after you receive the translation.
