Got this battery in October 2017. I got the free replacement in March 2019 when it stopped holding a charge. Started having some issues in June, needing a trickle charge. Now September 2022 the replacement is completely trash. I never write bad reviews, but these just don't hold up well. I'd hate for someone to spend extra for nothing. Going on third battery in 5 years is insane.
Picked the battery up at the store and assumed it was a new battery since I paid full price but when installing, I noticed that the negative terminal already had battery grease and crust on it, and then clearly looked as if it had been either used or refurbished. It also had a paper sticker slap to the side of it. Typical of a refurbished item.
Perfect fit for my 2500. I installed myself as you have to take off the air filter box, radiator reservoir to get the battery out. No big deal though about 45 minutes. Now I will have a little more CCA and reserves compared to the stock. Good for hauling my 5th wheel.
I installed this battery 3 yrs and 3 months ago in my wife's Toyota Sienna. Thinking I was putting the top of the line battery in her van would not have to replace again for a long time. It lasted 3 yrs and 3 months, conveniently just out of warranty. Recommend you shop else where, would not spend the money on this battery.
I typically buy the 'best' battery. I found it confusing the AGM is the highest price, but has a 3 year warrenty compared to the conventional wet battery, which has a 4 year warranty. My last wet battery lasted 6 years, so this time I am trying a AGM, which are 'supposed to' last longer. I also do not fit OEM size batteries. I fit the largest battery that will fit the tray. Porsche fits a group 47 as OE, but the tray has the correct hold down for a 48. So, I fit the 48, which is about the same dimensions as a H7. My disappointment with this battery is that it didn't come with a hose kit. My hose fit, but I had to pry out the plug for the other side. If you buy this battery, don't forget to stick a plug in the other side that doesn't have the hose. I think the vendor should supply a hose kit, When I bought my wet battery 6 year ago, they did. now they don't. Just beware.
Easy to install....but for a small battery it is heavy! (I know it depends on the number of plates.) But after my car sat in below 0 weather for 6 days it started immediately with this little gem in place.
Very satisfied with the product the young lady at advance was wonderful she came out and installed the battery for me I'm on oxygen and not very mobile I didn't even have to get out of my car I just called let them know I was here and they did everything for me fantastic job thank you
Battery starts car easily, for being a week old. Old Battery \"dragged\" a little. This car also has a Remote Start, be careful, as the Remote Start will not work after installation. You need to reset it. I got the RESET procedure from You Tube. Also, do not be alarmed when you see \"PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION RECOMMENDED\", this took the store associate 15 minutes to install. He looked at me as I was looking at him and said \"What is so hard about this\" I explained that I would have done this, however, my friend had my tool chest. No different than any other installation if you undo the hold down screw and bracket. Slide the battery forward and remove the Positive cable then the negative cable. Reverse process to install.
Easy to navigate the site to find the part you need, was a smooth purchase. Was disappointed that it wasn't clearly stipulated that for the free install it is only for one specific placement. For clarification, I have a vehicle that has the battery mounted in the trunk and not in the engine compartment under the hood. It was explained that it was policy that they couldn't accommodate the install. Despite that hiccup, they were friendly enough to assist by supervising me while I did it myself. Slight inconvenience also was the hour or so I had to take to return to the store for my core deposit refund which was explained that it was just how the system processes it.
I needed a new battery for my 1981 VW Rabbit convertible which isn't easy to find in stock in my City. I had to have it that day because I was taking up north to put it in storage. I found it on the website and purchased it. A half hour I was at the store to pick it up. I was in there for less than five minutes dropping off my core and getting my new battery. Awesome experience be ry convenient.
Very smooth I ordered a battery online for my antique car and picked it up with no hitches. I just walked in, gave my name, gave them my core and left. Less than 5 minutes. The battery worked perfect for me to take t up north and store it.
Simple easy install, but battery only lasted 27 months. Replaced under warranty, then replacement battery only lasted 24 months. Stock Ram 1500 vehicle . No electrical add-ons. Would not replace under warranty a 2nd time. lasted
I've had it in my 05 Magnum R/T now for over two years and I keep it connected to a battery maintainer to keep it fully charged. I'm retired now and don't put the mileage on it like I used to so I keep it on the maintainer. The battery maintains a full charge and fires up the engine quickly. I have digital display and after key on and the fuel pump primed and idiot dash lights and test the battery voltage show 12.4 which cranks up the Hemi in an instant
Conventional wisdom when it comes to choosing your new battery goes that the perfect replacement battery would be the one with very similar specifications to your old battery. Hence, it should be of a similar type and capacity.
What are the electrical errors that might occur Certain modules of your BMW may turn off as a consequence of your car presuming that the battery life is low and wanting to save it. So, at that point your windows and mirrors may not close/open, your radio and interior lights might not work properly, or other modules not needed for starting or driving a car can fail.
All BMW models manufactured after 2002 require battery registration, as they are significantly more advanced in terms of electrical environment, which aims to improve the gas mileage. Models developed since 2002 are equipped with the system of Intelligent Battery Sensors (IBS) that contains micro processors monitoring and measuring charge, discharge, voltage, current and battery temperature.
At BimmerTech we always maintain that each of our customers deserves the best quality help. So, if you need any more instructions concerning the registration of your car battery, please get in touch with our team.

Lead-acid batteries contain hydrogen-oxygen gases that can be explosive and sulfuric acid that can cause severe burns. To help avoid the risk of danger and injury, observe these precautions when handling or working with a lead-acid battery:
The age of a car battery can be determined using the battery date code. The code is a two-digit code stamped into the cover as part of a longer code or on a battery's top or side label. The battery date code indicates when the battery was shipped from the manufacturing plant and is read as follows:
Yes. The most common effect is the battery rapidly dying; however, a battery that swells and becomes hot to the touch is also a direct result of overcharging and can be very dangerous and even explode. A good indication of overcharging would be the smell of rotten eggs during charging. The battery is producing extremely flammable hydrogen gas.Never smoke or have open flames around a battery at any time. Always use the correct charger when charging a car battery, and have it checked periodically by a technician if charging must be done frequently. Pay attention to labels that indicate exactly how the battery should be charged; this helps eliminate overcharging and possible harm and injury.
Hot weather means high temperatures under the hood, which accelerates corrosion inside the battery. It can also cause water to evaporate out of the battery's liquid electrolyte. This can result in decreased battery capacity, a weakened ability to start an engine and, ultimately, shorter battery life.
For example, a 12-volt battery with a 650 CCA rating means the battery will provide 650 amps for 30 seconds at 0 F before the voltage falls to 7.20 volts for a 12v battery. So in freezing temperatures, a higher CCA level is required to crank your engine. Also, as more cranking power is used, the amount of battery power available decreases.
Marine/RV Batteries - These batteries have starting power and power the many creature comforts in today's boats and RVs. These batteries have thicker lead plates and typically have threaded posts and the standard SAE automotive posts to connect to the vehicle's battery cables. 59ce067264
