There are only two critter eggs left to destroy and then the Universe is rid of them all BUT some silly conservationists want to save the critters... things do not go well. This all takes place on a cheap set... um I mean a space ship. There is a reason this was the worst rated film in my wish list... because it's bad. But you can see:
When a horror franchise goes to space, you can bet your life it's because everyone including the director's cat is fresh out of ideas. But in the case of Critters, a space bound sequel feels obligatory since, well, that's where they hurtled down from in the first place. For that exact reason, I was actually semi looking forward to watching this. Unfortunately, Critters 4 is painfully tedious and instantly forgettable.
I mention the hand puppets because they are so obvious. Unlike the original film, which was a genuinely entertaining ripoff of \"E.T.,\" \"Starman,\" \"The Terminator\" and \"Gremlins,\" this movie is not even a competent ripoff of \"Critters.\" It is quite obvious, in many shots, that the critters - who are about the size of a bowling ball and have lots of teeth - are lined up along the edges of tables and other flat surfaces so that unseen puppeteers can operate them. It is rare to see a critter moving anywhere on his own, except as a ball being pulled along by an invisible string. The critters in the first movie had personality. In this movie, they're only props.
Sadly, what looked like it might be an amusing Alien rip off, takes a sharp nosedive from this point onwards, as there's only actually two critters on the station, which severely limits the amount of mayhem in the script. The plot trundles along at a dreary pace, wasting it's time following the characters wandering aimlessly round the space station, and very little else. There's very little humour to speak off, and the film really isn't very entertaining as it suffers from a distinct lack of Critter (I mean only 2 critters for Christ's sakes).

While residents in at least 43 states are familiar with the brown marmorated stink bug, so called because of the smelly chemical excretion it produces when threatened, homeowners in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions are most impacted by these swiftly spreading pests. They become active in fall, emerging from their outdoor nests to seek shelter from the cold. Keep them out by sealing every point of entry to your home. Because these critters tend to cling to screens and curtains, pest experts recommend rubbing surfaces with a strongly scented dryer sheet, which can reduce stink bug presence by up to 80 percent.
